It’s amazing to see how people with the same ingredients can concoct unique and varied creations. The capacity for learning and pushing thinking can be a competitive advantage for individuals and companies as it helps challenge the status quo to find new and exciting ways of doing things.
With this experience you learn how to cook and prepare 2-3 authentic Indian recipes. You will learn to layer flavours, create curry pastes and blend spices that are at the heart of Indian cooking. My goal is that you repeat the recipes for loved ones time and time again. With this class each participant receives a traditional Indian spice box with spices included.
"I wanted to do something ‘virtually’ different, as it's never been more important look after my team and their wellbeing and staying connected. Fatigued by zoom quizzes I decided to give SheelCooks a try, the team really enjoyed it, such that other leadership teams within Jacobs followed suit.
It created a brilliant atmosphere, with people able to laugh at each others creations (some were really restaurant quality, mine not so), and at the end of the class, the team felt better connected, relaxed and continued some discussions over a drink.
It created a whole new atmosphere and I’d recommend SheelCooks to anyone."

"I have attended several of Sheel's cook-a-longs over zoom now, and each one has been a joy. Not only is the food we've made delicious, each time Sheel has facilitated so gently and graciously, and made me feel like I was in the room with my friends and colleagues at work. The only downside? The sessions have to end!"

"I really enjoyed Sheel's cooking classes. It was a great way to bring our members together socially in lockdown. At first I participated as I thought it would be a bit of fun and learn something new but it has surpassed my expectations! Sheel is very attentive, has a lovely nature about herself and is very knowledgeable. She encourages you throughout the process and caters to all experience levels. I never knew I could cook such dishes and I always feel accomplished after a class and of course the food tastes great too!"

ABOUT SHEEL
Hi I'm Sheel, a self-taught cook, part time business consultant and founder of Sheel Cooks.
SheelCooks is my way to showcase and teach the food I love to make. I specialise in Gujarati food as well as teaching recipes that just work and taste delicious.
Growing up there was never an empty house and always a constant hive of activity in our kitchen. This is where I would observe my mother and my aunts make everything from scratch and watch in awe how they could make perfectly round rotis with that magic puff when cooked. It wasn’t long before I was involved in helping prepare food for my family. Much of my family bonding and activities was centred around cooking.
I want to share with you authentic traditional recipes that taste amazing, are easy to prepare, and more importantly give joy and comfort.
When I’m not cooking, I work part-time for a business consultancy and when I’m not consulting I’m juggling my 8yr old boy and my Joe Wicks obsessed husband.
